Welcome back to Downeast Maine's Real Estate e-HotSheet! This is the first Downeast Maine e-HotSheet for fall of 2011. It's a great time to be out enjoying the fine weather and great scenery. A few leaves are starting to drop, but we have a couple of more weeks until the peak foliage season here on the coast.
Real estate activity is trudging along. While it's certainly not the pace of level of sales activity we saw in 2006, sales are occuring. You have to hand it to all the people involved! Buyers have to meet vastly different expectations in terms of their credit and loan amounts. Bankers are extraordinarily careful these days. Appraisers are working their butts off to make sure the value's there. Good brokers and agents are making constant and incremental improvements in their levels of service. Interest rates are at 60-year lows! It's a great time to buy, but you have to meet pretty strict standards. If you measure up, there are some great bargains on the market these days!
By clicking the link below, you'll get immediate access to a good bit of information about real estate in this neck of the woods. Some of the content may vary each week, but you can count on getting the latest updates about what's new to the market and what's sold in the last couple of weeks.
The e-HotSheet is a resource to provide you a weekly market update as a listings search summary. This update is both local and county-wide. Each week, you'll be able to access ALL of the new listings throughout Hancock County. You'll get a seven-day report, and a 14-day report. In addition, you'll get a 14-day summary of all the properties which have sold. By necessity, these reports are quite brief. However, I can provide you with a lot of detail about any property you'd like more information about. Please feel free to call or email me with your request.
I can show any of these properties to you -- or to your friends, family members, business colleagues or acquaintances -- at your earliest convenience.
In addition to the new listings every week, you're going to see a summary report on a customized segment of the market. To best serve my clients and customers, I focus on this particular area of Downeast Maine. This includes the towns of Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Lamoine, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Tremont and Trenton. You'll find ALL residential properties in each of these towns. You'll also find all vacant lots and land, again segmented by town.
An exciting new category of market information is the shorefront report. In this summary, you'll find every shorefront property in the above towns. This time, it's segmented by price range. All shorefront property -- whether homes or land or commercial property -- that's on any type of waterfront is included. You'll find oceanfront, lakefront, properties on streams, ponds, bays, and rivers. How's that for a comprehensive overview?
Plus you'll get the usual e-HotSheet array of other relevant real estate information, including a new-and-improved mortgage interest rate synopsis and local, regional and national real estate trends and news. You won't want to miss the new blogroll you can see to your right.
Of course, the e-HotSheet wouldn't be the same without the trivia questions and puzzles and riddles.
Last week's question was: "There is only one word in the English language which has the same number of letters as its meaning. What is it?" To read the answer, and to get to this week's question, please click the link below. We had three winners last week, all within twenty minutes (and it was a late publication)!
So here we are. It's Tuesday, the Downeast Maine real estate market goes on -- although it's changed quite a bit lately -- and it's time to get writing. Please use the navigation menu at the top of each page to access the latest updates about all the real estate in the area we serve! Thank you for visiting, and have a great day!
